Langtang Valley Trek is quite popular and well known among the adventure seekers. Since it is considered as the third best destination for trekking in Nepal, many domestic tourists make Langtang Valley Trek as their destination as the location is quite nearby from the Capital city of Kathmandu. There are many  opportunities to explore the relatively unexplored areas of Nepal while still being not far from Kathmandu. Langtang Valley Trek takes you through the dense forests, several traditional and ethnic settlements of various caste groups.

The green pastures of Kyangin Gompa and the holy  Gosaikunda Lake, one of the greatest pilgrimage destinations of Hindus, also fall in the vicinity of the Langtang Valley Trek. However, if one intends to visit the holy Gosainkunda Lake, then there is a separate travel package for that. Langtang Lauri Binayak Pass is more suitable for visiting Gosaikunda as it falls on the way of that trek. Nevertheless, Langtang Valley Trek encompasses the diverse and spectacular views of Langtang Valley and also the snow-clad Himalayas. Besides the supreme views of the snow-covered gigantic mountains, the tourists are also lined up to witnessthe great waterfalls emerging from one of the crevices from the hills, forests painted red with rhododendron and oak trees, the Gompas and the abundant monasteries that lie along this trail.

Langtang Valley Trek is a 11-day trip which begins from Kathmandu, the capital city. After 6-7 hours of drive the next day, you reach Syabru Besi, a small traditional village lying on the bank of Bhote Kosi River. It is the starting point of the trek. The trail then slowly attains elevation as you make your way through Rhododendron, bamboo and oak forests along the way. Upon reaching the Langtang valley, you then get a chance to explore the Sherpa villages and the visit  of  Kyanjin Gompa(3,798m) provides you a chance to peek at the lifestyle of spiritual Buddhist monks. If the weather is clean and not cloudy, you will be also greeted by several majestic mountains that form the famous Langtang Mountain Range. Ganesh Himal (7110 m) and Langtang -II (7,230 m) peaks are one of the major attractions of this trek.
